How to View and Manage Bookings on Your Calendar

Use Trimsy's calendar to see all your bookings across staff and locations in one place, and manage them easily.

What this is

Your calendar is where you view and manage all your bookings across your team and locations. It's a central hub to see what's scheduled, make changes, and stay on top of your day.

How to access your calendar

  1. Log in to Trimsy
  2. Go to Sidebar ▸ Calendar
  3. You'll see your bookings displayed in a calendar view

Switching between day and week view

By default, the calendar shows a week view so you can see multiple days at once. If you need more detail:

  1. Look for the view toggle at the top of your calendar
  2. Select Day view to focus on a single day, or Week view to see seven days
  3. Day view is useful when you're busy and need to see time slots clearly; week view is great for planning ahead

Finding bookings for a specific staff member or location

  1. Look for filter options near the top of the calendar
  2. Select the staff member or location you want to view
  3. The calendar will update to show only bookings for that person or place
  4. You can filter by multiple staff or locations at once to compare schedules

Managing a booking from the calendar

  1. Click on any booking shown on the calendar
  2. A booking details panel will open
  3. From here, you can:
    • View customer details and service information
    • See the time and duration
    • Make notes or updates
    • Reschedule if needed
    • Mark as complete or cancel if necessary
  4. Click outside the panel or select Close to return to the calendar view

Rescheduling a booking

  1. Click on the booking you want to move
  2. Open the details panel
  3. Look for the option to reschedule or change the time
  4. Select a new time slot—the calendar will show availability for your selected staff member
  5. Confirm the change

Creating a new booking from the calendar

  1. Click on an empty time slot where you want the booking
  2. You'll be prompted to enter customer details and service information
  3. Select the staff member and service, then confirm
  4. The booking will appear on your calendar immediately

Tips for using your calendar effectively

  • Colour coding: Bookings are often colour-coded by service type or staff member, making it easy to spot patterns at a glance
  • Check availability: Before rescheduling, your calendar shows which time slots are free
  • Stay on schedule: Use the calendar to identify gaps and busy periods so you can plan promotions or manage workload
  • Mobile access: If you need to check your calendar away from your desk, you can access it on your phone too

Need to see a specific date?

  1. Use the date picker or navigation arrows at the top of the calendar
  2. Jump forward or backward to any date you need to view
  3. This is handy for planning ahead or reviewing past bookings

Your calendar syncs in real time, so any changes made in Bookings or by your team will appear instantly.
