Using Live Floor to Monitor Your Service in Real Time
Track who's being served, who's waiting, and room status at a glance with Live Floor.
What is Live Floor?
Live Floor shows you a real-time snapshot of your business right now—which customers are being served, who's waiting, and the status of each room or chair. It's perfect for keeping operations running smoothly during busy periods.
Access Live Floor
- From your Trimsy dashboard, click Live Floor in the sidebar.
- You'll see your current service area layout with all active and waiting customers.
Understand the display
Live Floor displays:
- Occupied rooms/chairs: Shows which staff member is currently serving a customer
- Customer names: The person being served in each space
- Waiting queue: A list of customers waiting for their turn
- Status indicators: Visual cues (usually colour-coded) to show if a space is busy, free, or on break
Common tasks
Check who's waiting
The waiting queue appears prominently on your Live Floor view. You can see how many customers are in the queue and their position.
See how long someone has been waiting
Wait times are typically displayed next to each queued customer's name, helping you identify if someone has been waiting too long.
Monitor room or chair availability
Scan your service areas to spot which spaces are free and ready for the next customer. This helps you manage flow and ensure staff aren't idle.
Identify bottlenecks
If the waiting queue is growing but most rooms are occupied, you can see at a glance that you need to speed up service or call in extra staff.
Tips for using Live Floor effectively
- Check regularly during busy times: Keep Live Floor open on a separate screen or tab during peak hours so you can respond quickly to queue build-ups.
- Use it to balance workload: If one staff member finishes early, you can see who's next in the queue and direct them appropriately.
- Train your team: Make sure staff know they can check Live Floor too, especially reception or queue management staff.
- Watch for patterns: Over time, you'll notice which times get busiest and which services take longer, helping you roster more strategically.
What Live Floor doesn't show
Live Floor focuses on real-time status only. For detailed customer history, service notes, or payment information, you'll need to check individual booking or customer records elsewhere in Trimsy.
By keeping an eye on Live Floor, you can make quick decisions that improve customer experience and keep your team working at their best.
