This policy explains how Trimsy uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, and the choices you have over them.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember information about your visit. Similar technologies — such as localStorage — work the same way. They can be "session" (deleted when you close the browser) or "persistent" (kept until they expire or you clear them).

2. How we use cookies

We keep our cookie use deliberately minimal. We use two categories:

Strictly necessary

A small amount of local storage remembers your cookie choice and keeps core features working (for example, staying signed in during a session). These are always on — the site can't function correctly without them — and they don't track you.

Analytics (optional)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — which pages are popular, how people arrive, and where they run into trouble — so we can improve it. This helps us in aggregate; we don't use it to identify you personally.

3. We ask before we track

Analytics cookies are off by default. We use Google Consent Mode, which means Google Analytics stores no analytics cookies until you choose "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are set.

4. Changing your choice

You can change your mind at any time on our Cookie Settings page. You can also clear cookies and site data directly in your browser settings, which removes your saved choice and shows the banner again on your next visit.

5. Third-party cookies

When analytics is enabled, Google Analytics may set its own cookies. Google's handling of that data is governed by their privacy policy. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our site or the tools we use change. We'll revise the "last updated" date above when we do.
