For Australian locksmiths · Built in Australia

Lockouts, rekeys and account work — dispatched, recorded and invoiced.

The call comes at 2am from a car park, or at 9am from a property manager with four units to rekey. Trimsy handles both: see who is free and send them the job with the address and what they are walking into, record what was fitted and what it cost, and invoice from the kerb before the next call comes in. Flat monthly fee, no cut of the job.

The problem

What locksmiths struggle with

  • After-hours calls dispatched by ringing around to find out who is still awake
  • The job finished at midnight and invoiced from memory three days later
  • No record of what was fitted or what it cost when a question comes back months later
  • Property manager accounts billed one job at a time instead of on statement
  • Cylinders and hardware fitted on site with nothing tracking what came off the van
  • Quotes for a rekey or a master key system written in a text message and never followed up

With Trimsy

What changes

  • See who is free and send the job with the address, access notes and history to their phone
  • Record what was fitted and what it cost on the job itself, while you are still there
  • Invoice on completion and take card payment before leaving the site
  • One file per property — every lock, every visit, every key issued, going back years
  • Quote the bigger work, have it accepted online, and turn it into a job without re-typing
  • Account customers kept on one record so the month can be billed together

The three jobs a locksmith actually does

An emergency lockout, a property manager on account, and a quoted master key system are three different businesses sharing one van. The same job record carries all three.

Emergency lockouts and callouts

The unplanned work that arrives at the worst hour and pays the best rate.

  • Dispatch to whoever is free, with the address and what they are attending
  • After-hours rates priced into the service so nobody invents a figure at 2am
  • Card payment taken on site, receipt sent before the van moves

Property managers and strata

Repeat account work where the record is worth as much as the job.

  • One file per property — every lock, rekey and key issued against the address
  • Recurring work set once for scheduled maintenance rounds
  • The month’s jobs on one customer record, ready to bill together

Rekeys, master keys and supply-and-install

Quoted work with hardware attached, often spanning more than one visit.

  • Quote from site, customer accepts online, quote becomes the job
  • Hardware tracked as products so what was fitted is on the invoice
  • A deposit before you order restricted cylinders

Why it matters

The job nobody can remember is the job nobody gets paid for

Emergency work is invoiced last and remembered worst. A lockout at midnight is written up on Thursday from a photo and a guess, and the callout fee, the cylinder and the after-hours rate quietly become one round number. Trimsy builds the invoice from what was recorded on the job at the time, so the money follows the work instead of an estimate of it.

The same record answers the question that arrives six months later — what was fitted, when, and what was charged for it.

  • Recurring jobs and repeat customers
  • Access notes and photos against the job
  • Digital checklists and signatures
  • Flat pricing — no commission on a job
  • Australian support, in Australian hours

Everything a locksmith business needs, in one tool

From the 2am callout to the property manager’s statement at the end of the month.

Callout dispatch

See the day at a glance, send the job to whoever is free, and give them the address, access notes and what happened last time before they set off.

Scheduling that survives

Drag jobs across the day when a lockout blows up the run, and every affected customer is told by SMS as you go.

Invoice from the kerb

Build the invoice from what was actually fitted, take a card payment on site, and send the receipt before the next call.

A file per property

Every lock, every rekey, every key issued, against the address rather than a person who may have moved out. The history is there when the agent asks.

Job forms

Design your own form — what was fitted, batch and cylinder detail, keys issued — completed on a phone and stored against the job and the property.

Hardware and stock

Cylinders, locks and hardware kept as products with prices, so what came off the van appears on the invoice instead of being remembered later.

Quotes and agreements

Quote a rekey or a master key system, have it accepted online, and send your own scope or terms document to be e-signed with a full audit trail. No per-signature fee.

Account and repeat work

Set recurring jobs for scheduled rounds, and keep a property manager’s whole month on one record so it can be billed together.

Team and after-hours

Roster who is on call, assign jobs without a phone call, and see who is on what.

Reporting for BAS

Revenue by job type, by locksmith, by period. See whether after-hours work actually pays, and hand your accountant a clean record.

What it costs

From $24.99 a month.

A flat monthly fee in AUD. Nothing per booking, nothing per job, and the card rate you pay is your provider's own — Trimsy adds nothing to it.

What locksmiths ask

Every answer here is checked against the product, including the bits that are a plain no.

Does Trimsy do route optimisation or GPS tracking?

No. It shows you who is free and lets you assign and reorder the day, but it does not plan an optimal route between jobs and it does not track vehicles. If that is the main thing you are shopping for, a dedicated field-service platform will suit you better — worth knowing before you trial rather than after.

Can I invoice on site after an after-hours callout?

Yes. Trimsy runs in a phone browser and installs to the home screen like an app. Build the invoice from what was fitted, take a card payment, and send the receipt before you leave. It needs a connection — there is no offline mode.

Can I bill a property manager for a whole month at once?

Every job sits against the one customer record, so the month’s work is together and can be invoiced as a batch rather than one job at a time. There is no formal statement run — you are raising an invoice covering the period, not generating an account statement.

Can I record what was fitted on a job?

Yes, on a job form you design: hardware, cylinder detail, keys issued, and anything else you want captured. It is completed on a phone and stored against the job and the property, which is what you want when a question comes back months later. Trimsy does not verify anyone’s identity or entitlement to the work — that stays your process.

What does it cost?

Essential is $24.99 a month and includes one staff member. Growth is $49.99 a month and includes three. Extra staff are $7 a month each on either plan. No commission and no per-job fee.
