For Australian party entertainers and mobile party services · Built in Australia

Saturdays are the business. Hold them with a deposit, not a maybe.

Face painters, magicians, kids’ entertainers, balloon stylists, mobile party services — the whole year is decided by a few hundred weekend hours, and every one of them gets asked about by someone who might not book. Trimsy takes the enquiry, holds the slot with a deposit, sends the terms to be signed, and invoices the balance, so a Saturday is committed rather than pencilled. Flat monthly fee, no cut of the booking.

The problem

What party entertainers and mobile services struggle with

  • A Saturday held for three weeks on a "pretty sure", then released the Wednesday before
  • Enquiries arriving by Facebook message, Instagram and text with no single list
  • Party details — age, theme, address, parking, whether there is shade — reconstructed by phone the night before
  • Two bookings accepted an hour apart on opposite sides of town
  • Package prices quoted from memory, differently, depending who asked
  • Balance chased on the Monday after, if anyone remembers

With Trimsy

What changes

  • A deposit taken at the moment of booking, so the date is held by money
  • One list of every enquiry and booking, whatever channel it came in on
  • Your own party questionnaire filled in by the parent ahead of the day
  • Travel and setup buffers between bookings, so two parties cannot collide
  • Packages priced once — one hour, two hours, add-ons — and reused every time
  • Terms e-signed up front, so a cancellation has an agreed answer

Built for how weekend work is actually sold

A single entertainer, a small team covering several parties at once, and a package built from add-ons are three different operations. The same booking record carries all three.

Solo entertainers

One performer, a full Saturday, and no room for an overlap.

  • Clients book a slot from your real availability
  • Travel and setup buffers set by you, so back-to-back parties work
  • Deposit taken at booking, balance before or on the day

Small teams and agencies

Several performers out at once across a weekend.

  • Roster who is on which party, with the address and brief on their phone
  • Each booking assigned so nobody is double-booked
  • One view of the whole weekend rather than a group chat

Packages and add-ons

An hour, two hours, extra characters, balloons, a photo package.

  • Build packages once and reuse them on every booking
  • Add-ons priced consistently instead of quoted from memory
  • Sell a party as a gift voucher for someone else to redeem

Why it matters

A pencilled Saturday is not a booking

This trade lives on a small number of high-value hours, and the expensive failure is not a quiet week — it is holding a Saturday for someone who was definitely booking and then went quiet, while turning away two people who would have paid. A deposit at the point of booking is the whole difference, and it is the one thing a Facebook message cannot do.

The terms go out for signature in the same step, so if it is cancelled the week before, what happens next was agreed in writing rather than argued about.

  • Recurring jobs and repeat customers
  • Access notes and photos against the job
  • Digital checklists and signatures
  • Flat pricing — no commission on a job
  • Australian support, in Australian hours

Everything around the booking, in one place

From the Instagram message to the balance on the day.

Online booking

Parents pick a package and a time from your real availability, at any hour — including the 10pm scroll when the party is three weeks away.

Deposits that hold dates

Take a deposit or the full amount when the booking is made, so a Saturday is committed instead of pencilled in against a maybe.

Travel and setup buffers

Set the gap you need between bookings so two parties on opposite sides of town cannot land an hour apart.

Party questionnaires

Your own form — child’s age, theme, address, parking, indoors or out, allergies — filled in by the parent ahead of time and kept on the booking.

Terms signed up front

Send your cancellation and weather terms to be e-signed when they book, with a signed PDF kept on the record. No per-signature fee.

Packages and gift vouchers

Price an hour, two hours and the add-ons once, reuse them everywhere, and sell a party as a voucher for someone else to redeem.

Reminders by SMS

A confirmation at booking and a reminder before the day, so a forgotten party or a wrong address is caught before you are in the car.

Performers and rostering

Roster who is covering which party and give them the address, the brief and the parent’s number without a phone call.

Balance and invoicing

The balance invoiced from the same booking, payable online, with overdue reminders sent automatically instead of on Monday.

Reporting for BAS

Revenue by package and by month — which parties actually pay and how seasonal the year really is — and a clean record for your accountant.

What it costs

From $24.99 a month.

A flat monthly fee in AUD. Nothing per booking, nothing per job, and the card rate you pay is your provider's own — Trimsy adds nothing to it.

What party entertainers ask

Every answer here is checked against the product, including the bits that are a plain no.

Can I take a deposit when someone books?

Yes, and it is the main reason to use something like this. Set a fixed amount or a percentage per package and it is charged during checkout rather than chased afterwards. The balance settles against the same booking, so what is paid and what is owing sit on one record.

Can I stop two parties being booked too close together?

Yes. Set travel and setup buffers so the next slot cannot be taken until you could realistically be there. It works off the gap you configure, not live traffic — Trimsy does not calculate driving time between addresses.

Can parents fill in the party details before the day?

Yes, on a form you design — age, theme, address, parking, indoors or outdoors, allergies, anything you always end up ringing to ask. It is completed online and stored on the booking.

Does Trimsy check my working-with-children or police clearances?

No. Trimsy does not verify credentials of any kind, for you or anyone on your team, and does not store or check WWCC, police clearance or public liability documents. Keeping those current is entirely your responsibility and your regulator’s process.

What about weather for outdoor parties?

Put your wet-weather terms in the agreement the client signs at booking, so a rained-out Saturday has an agreed answer. Trimsy does not monitor forecasts or reschedule anything by itself — you move the booking and it notifies the client by SMS.

What does it cost?

Essential is $24.99 a month and includes one staff member. Growth is $49.99 a month and includes three. Extra staff are $7 a month each on either plan. No commission and no per-booking fee.
