Switching
For Australian groomers who want breed-based pricing, pet files and reminders — and who would rather add a groomer for $7 a month than move up a pricing tier.
You do the import yourself, in this order. Nothing is switched on until you say so.
Export your clients as a CSV, then upload it. You map the columns yourself — name, phone, email, notes — so a file laid out any way still lands correctly. Nothing is guessed.
Same again: upload the list, map the columns, adjust durations and prices before anything is saved.
Add the team and their roles. Small enough to do by hand for most businesses, and importable if it is not.
Upcoming bookings import too, matched to the clients, services and staff already brought across — which is why those three go first. Past appointments come in as completed history.
Be realistic
Worth knowing before you start, rather than after.
It depends on your team. A solo groomer pays $29 a month as published on DaySmart’s Basic plan (if they use DaySmart payments) against $24.99 AUD on Trimsy — close, before currency. The gap opens as you grow. DaySmart’s Basic covers one user, Deluxe three at $69, Premium six at $199. Trimsy’s Essential includes one staff member and Growth three, and an extra groomer on either plan is a $7 seat. Add a website ($15/mo on DaySmart) and loyalty (Deluxe and up) and a two-groomer salon is comparing $31.99 AUD — Essential plus one seat — with $84 a month as published.
No, but their pricing assumes it: every tier is listed at two prices, and the one without DaySmart payments is $10 to $20 a month higher. Trimsy’s price is the same either way — you connect your own Stripe or Square account and pay that processor’s normal rate, with nothing added by Trimsy.
DaySmart Pet. It sells daycare and boarding calendars ($25 a month each as published) that manage occupancy and length of stay. Trimsy books appointments — grooms, baths, nail trims, mobile visits — and doesn’t manage overnight stays or kennel occupancy.
Yes. You set price and duration by breed and coat, add de-matting or de-shedding as add-ons, and keep temperament warnings, vaccination expiry dates and before-and-after photos on each pet’s file. An owner with three dogs books them in one visit, each with its own service.
Anything you can export, you can bring. Trimsy imports your clients from a CSV — name, email, phone and loyalty points. Pets aren’t part of that file: each dog is added the first time it comes in, or by the owner when they book. Keep read-only access to your old system for past invoices.
