Removalist software —

The problem

What removalists struggle with

  • Quoting a move over the phone and finding twice the volume on the day
  • Crew allocation living on a whiteboard that’s always one call out of date
  • Customers ringing all morning to ask where the truck is
  • Deposits and balances tracked across texts, emails, and handwritten notes
  • Access problems — stairs, no lift booking, no parking — discovered on arrival
  • No way to see at a glance which Saturdays are full and where the gaps are

With Trimsy

What changes

  • Quote line by line — rooms, heavy items, stairs, packing — so the price reflects the actual job
  • Assign the crew to each move and see the whole week in one view
  • Automatic confirmation, a reminder before the day, and an arrival window on the morning
  • Deposit at booking and balance on completion, both tracked against the job
  • Capture access notes — stairs, lift booking, parking — at quote time, not on arrival
  • See the week’s moves in one calendar, so you know which days still have room

Removalist software for the moves you actually do

A two-person local crew and an office relocation are different jobs with the same paperwork underneath.

Local and residential moves

Half-day and full-day house moves, booked weeks ahead and nervous on the morning.

  • Customers request a move online with addresses, date and size
  • A deposit holds the date; the balance is taken on completion
  • Confirmation, a reminder, and a heads-up on the morning by SMS

Office and commercial relocations

Bigger quotes, more people to keep informed, and terms that need a signature.

  • An itemised quote the client accepts online
  • Terms and conditions sent for e-signature before the day
  • One file per client — useful when the lease ends again in three years

Man-and-van and small moves

Single items, student moves and marketplace pick-ups — short jobs where the admin cannot take longer than the move.

  • Online booking into the gaps between bigger jobs
  • Invoice and card payment from your phone at the kerb
  • Essential plan covers a sole operator

Why it matters

Quote the move you’re actually doing

Most removals lose their margin at the quote, not on the day. A price given over the phone from a rough room count turns into an extra two hours, a fourth crew member, and a conversation about the bill on the driveway. Quoting line by line — with the stairs, the lift booking, and the long carry already on it — means the number you gave is the number you invoice.

And because the quote, the job, and the invoice are the same record, nothing gets re-typed and nothing gets lost between them.

  • Recurring jobs and repeat customers
  • Access notes, parking instructions and photos
  • Digital job checklists and signatures
  • Flat pricing — no commission on a move
  • Australian support, in Australian hours

Everything a removals business needs, in one tool

From the first enquiry and the itemised quote to the crew allocation, the moving-day updates, and the final invoice.

Itemised quoting

Build the quote line by line — rooms, heavy items, packing, stairs, hours — so crew size and price reflect the real move, not an optimistic phone estimate.

Crew allocation

Assign everyone on the crew to the move and see the whole week at once. Change one booking and everyone sees it on their phone.

Moving-day updates

Confirmation at booking, a reminder before the day, and an arrival window on the morning — so the phone stops ringing.

Access notes

Stairs, lift bookings, parking permits, and long carries captured at quote time and on the crew’s run sheet.

Deposits + balance

Take the deposit to hold the date and the balance on completion, both tracked against the job.

Terms + e-signature

Send your terms and conditions for e-signature with a full audit trail — no per-signature fees.

The week in one calendar

Every move, who is on it and how long it runs, in one calendar — so you can see which days still have room before you say yes.

Quote → job → invoice

One flow from enquiry to GST invoice, with no re-keying between them.

A CRM for removalists

Every quote, move, invoice and message for a customer in one file — useful when the office move comes back around.

Online move booking

Customers request a move online at any hour with the date, addresses, and size of the job — a lead captured without anyone picking up the phone.

Your own booking website

A professional site with your services, service area, team, and a live booking form, on your own address. No marketplace taking a cut of the job.

Reporting for BAS

Revenue by move type, crew, or period. See which jobs are worth the truck, and keep a clean record for your accountant.

Does Trimsy schedule trucks as well as crews?

It schedules crews. Each move is assigned to the people doing it and appears on their phones. There is no separate vehicle calendar: which truck goes on a job is recorded as a note on the job. If juggling a fleet across overlapping moves is your main problem, a dedicated fleet tool will suit you better.

Can I build a quote from an inventory?

You build the quote as line items — rooms, heavy or awkward items, packing materials, hours, a stairs or long-carry charge — with your own saved services and prices. It is not a cubic-metre volume calculator: Trimsy will not estimate truck space from a list of furniture.

Can customers accept the quote and pay a deposit online?

Yes. The quote is sent by email or SMS, the customer accepts it online, and it becomes the job. A deposit can be required to hold the date, with the balance invoiced on completion and payable by card.

How do customers know when we are arriving?

They get a confirmation when the move is booked, a reminder before the day, and you can message them on the morning. There is no live truck tracking.

What does it cost for a removals business?

Essential is $24.99 a month and includes one staff member. Growth is $49.99 a month and includes three; extra crew are $7 a month each. A six-person business is $70.99 a month. No commission and no per-job fee.

Is it built for Australian removalists?

Yes. GST-compliant invoices with your ABN, reporting laid out for BAS, Australian dollars, and data hosted in an Australian region.
