Switching
For salons that hate giving away 20–35% of every Fresha-marketplace booking — or want to own the client relationship without the marketplace pulling them away.
You do the import yourself, in this order. Nothing is switched on until you say so.
Export your clients as a CSV, then upload it. You map the columns yourself — name, phone, email, notes — so a file laid out any way still lands correctly. Nothing is guessed.
Same again: upload the list, map the columns, adjust durations and prices before anything is saved.
Add the team and their roles. Small enough to do by hand for most businesses, and importable if it is not.
Upcoming bookings import too, matched to the clients, services and staff already brought across — which is why those three go first. Past appointments come in as completed history.
Be realistic
Worth knowing before you start, rather than after.
No. Trimsy is a fixed monthly subscription. There is no commission on bookings made through Trimsy — whether they come from your booking page, walk-ins, or a returning client. You only pay your card-processor (Stripe or Square) their standard rate.
Yes. Fresha lets you export your client database as a CSV; Trimsy has a CSV importer that maps name, email, phone, birthday, and notes. You'll keep all booking history once they re-book through Trimsy.
Fresha Pay charges 1.29% + A$0.26 in person and 1.59% + A$0.28 online (checked September 2026). With Trimsy you connect your own Stripe Connect or Square account and pay whatever rate you qualify for. The difference on card rates is modest — the bigger one is the subscription and the marketplace commission on new clients.
Probably yes. Fresha's marketplace traffic is real and meaningful — that's what the 35% commission pays for. If your business depends on marketplace discovery, Fresha may still be the right fit. If most of your clients come from Instagram, Google, word-of-mouth, or your own website, Trimsy will be cheaper.
