Leads — converting to a customer and booking
One-click conversion that creates the customer profile and (optionally) opens the booking flow.
When a lead is ready to commit, conversion is one click. Trimsy creates the customer profile from the lead's details and either opens the booking flow or just files the customer record for later.
Conversion options
From the lead detail page, click Convert and pick one of:
- Convert to customer only — creates the customer profile and marks the lead as Booked. Use this when the customer has paid for a product or signed up for something that isn't a booking.
- Convert to customer + booking — creates the profile and opens the booking flow with the customer pre-filled. Pick a time + service + staff and confirm.
- Convert to customer + standalone quote — creates the profile and opens the quote builder with their interest pre-filled in the line items. Useful for high-value enquiries that need a proper quote first.
What carries over
- Name, email, phone → customer profile
- Source tag → the customer's
acquisition_sourcefield - Lead notes (internal) → appended to the customer's internal notes with a "From lead" header
- Tags → applied to the customer
- Owner → set as the customer's "Preferred staff"
What doesn't carry over
- The lead pipeline status — once converted, the lead is Booked and that's that. The customer record is the source of truth from now on.
Duplicate detection
If the lead's email or phone matches an existing customer, conversion offers to link to existing customer instead of creating a duplicate. Pick this — Trimsy merges the lead's notes onto the existing customer and marks the lead as Booked. The customer's previous booking history is preserved.
After conversion
The lead is locked in Booked state — you can't edit its details anymore (the customer record is editable instead). The lead row stays visible in the funnel report so conversion stats are accurate.
If a customer goes off the rails after a converted booking and needs re-engagement, don't reopen the lead — open the customer profile and use SMS / email / a fresh quote from there.
