Settings — General tab
The General tab is where you update your business name, contact details, address, currency, tax settings, and social media links.
The Settings → General tab stores the core identity of your business. The information here appears on customer-facing pages, receipts, and confirmation emails.
Business details
- Business name — appears on your public website, booking page, and receipts
- Phone number — displayed on your website and included in automated emails
- Email address — the reply-to address on all notification emails sent to customers
- Website URL — your external website if different from your Trimsy subdomain
- ABN / Tax number — printed on receipts for GST/VAT compliance
Address
Enter your full street address including suburb/city, state, and postcode. This populates the map embed on your public website and appears on receipts. If you have multiple locations, each location has its own address managed under the Locations tab.
Regional settings
- Country — affects date formatting, phone number validation, and default currency
- Currency — the currency symbol displayed on the booking page, POS, and receipts
- Timezone — controls when appointment times are displayed. Important if your booking page is viewed by customers in different timezones.
Tax configuration
- Tax included in price — if prices already include tax (common in Australia with GST)
- Tax name — what the tax is called on receipts (e.g. GST, VAT)
- Tax rate — the percentage rate (e.g. 10% for Australian GST)
Social links
Enter your Facebook, Instagram, and other social media URLs. These appear as clickable icons in the footer of your public website and booking page.
Saving
Click Save Changes after updating any field. Changes take effect immediately.
