Settings — Kiosk tab

Configure the self-check-in kiosk tablet — PIN, welcome message, idle display, and which services appear for walk-ins.

The Settings → Kiosk tab controls how the customer-facing check-in tablet behaves. The kiosk runs at yourdomain.trimsy.au/kiosk and is designed to be displayed on a tablet mounted near your salon entrance.

Kiosk PIN

Each location has its own kiosk PIN — a 4-digit code that staff enter to access the staff-only portions of the kiosk app (like clocking in/out). Customers do not see or use this PIN.

Welcome message

Enter a custom message displayed on the kiosk idle/home screen (e.g. "Welcome to Glamour Beauty! Tap below to join the queue."). Keep it short and friendly — this is the first thing walk-in customers see.

Walk-in services

Choose which services customers can select at the kiosk. You might not want all services available as walk-in options — for example, a 3-hour full colour job is better booked in advance rather than as a walk-in. Untick any services you want to hide from the kiosk.

Maximum queue length

Set the maximum number of customers allowed in the queue at one time. Once the limit is reached, the kiosk displays a "Queue is full" message and new walk-ins cannot join until a spot opens. Set to 0 for unlimited.

Queue closed message

Customise the message shown when the queue is closed (either because you have manually closed it or the salon is outside operating hours). For example: "We are fully booked right now — please call us or book online at glamour.trimsy.au."

Loyalty integration

Toggle Show loyalty join prompt to display an invitation to join your loyalty programme during the check-in flow. Customers who are not already members see the programme name and a brief description.
