Settings — Payments tab

Connect Stripe and Square, configure your payment gateway, enable online deposits, and manage terminal settings.

The Settings → Payments tab is where you connect and configure all payment processing for your salon.

Stripe

Stripe is used for online card payments on the booking page (deposits) and in-person card payments via a Stripe card reader. To connect Stripe:

  1. Click Connect Stripe
  2. You will be redirected to Stripe's website to create or log into your Stripe account
  3. Authorise Trimsy to connect to your account
  4. Once connected, your Stripe account status shows as "Connected" with your account name

After connecting, you can configure:

  • Stripe card reader — if you have a physical Stripe reader device, pair it here using the reader's serial number
  • Automatic receipts — whether Stripe sends its own email receipt in addition to Trimsy's

Square

Square is used for in-person POS payments via a Square Terminal. To connect Square:

  1. Click Connect Square
  2. Authorise Trimsy with your Square account
  3. Your Square location and any paired terminals will appear

Pair a Square Terminal by entering its pairing code (found in the terminal's settings menu). Multiple terminals can be paired for multi-stylist environments.

Deposits

Toggle Require deposit for online bookings to require customers to pay a percentage of the service price when they book online. Set the percentage (e.g. 20%) in the deposit amount field. The remaining balance is collected at the salon using any payment method.

Cash payments

Cash payments are always enabled and do not require any configuration. They are recorded in the Cash Drawer automatically.
