For grooming salons, mobile and home-based groomers · Built in Australia
Booking software for dog groomers — breed, coat, and temperament on every booking.
A cocker spaniel with a matted coat is not a forty-minute booking, and pricing it like one is how groomers lose money all day. Set duration and price by breed and coat, keep temperament and vaccination notes on the pet’s file, and send the pick-up text the moment they’re done. Flat monthly fee, no commission.
Every groom booked as the same slot regardless of breed, size or coat
Matting discovered on the table, with no agreed way to charge for the extra hour
Owners arriving hours late because nobody told them the dog was ready
Temperament warnings — the biter, the one that hates the dryer — held in one groomer’s head
Vaccination records requested every visit and never filed
Regular six-weekly clients drifting because nobody rebooked them
With Trimsy
What changes
Duration and price set by breed and coat, so the day is built on real times
Matting and de-shed surcharges quoted as line items before the clippers come out
Automatic “ready for pick-up” text so dogs aren’t waiting in a crate
Temperament and handling notes on the pet file, visible to whoever takes the dog
Vaccination records stored with expiry, flagged before the next booking
Recurring six- or eight-weekly bookings set once and reminded automatically
A salon, a van, or a room at home
Groomers across Australia work three different ways. Trimsy is the same tool for all of them — set up for the way you work.
Grooming salons
Several groomers, a front counter, dogs arriving and leaving all day.
Each groomer’s day side by side, so you can see who has room for one more
Walk-ins check in on a tablet at the counter and wait their turn
Shampoo, leads and treats rung up on the same sale as the groom
One tap sends “ready for collection”, so dogs aren’t crated waiting
Mobile groomers
You, a van, and a day of driveways — with no office to ring back from.
Runs on your phone: the day’s dogs, addresses and handling notes in order
Owners book online, so you aren’t answering calls with clippers in your hand
Reminders go out by SMS on their own, so someone is home when you pull up
Paid online when they book, or on your Square Terminal at the door — the receipt sends itself
Home-based groomers
One dog at a time, a small number of slots, and every no-show is a real hole in the week.
Take a deposit at booking — unpaid bookings release themselves
Your own booking page, instead of managing the diary through DMs
Six- and eight-weekly regulars rebooked and reminded without you chasing
One flat monthly fee that makes sense at ten dogs a week, not just a hundred
Why it matters
Priced by the clock, not by the dog
The fastest way for a grooming business to lose a day is a booking system that treats every dog as an hour. A matted double-coat can take three times a puppy trim, and when the calendar doesn’t know that, the whole afternoon runs late and every later client waits. Pricing and timing by breed and coat means the schedule reflects the work, and the surcharge conversation happens at booking rather than over a half-clipped dog.
The pick-up text is the other half: fewer dogs sitting in crates waiting for owners who had no idea they were ready.

Everything a grooming business needs, in one tool
From the breed-based quote and the drop-off to the temperament note, the pick-up text, and the next groom.
A file per pet
Name, breed, weight, age and photo on the animal — with the notes that matter, so nothing is retyped and nothing is remembered wrong.
Matting surcharges
Quote de-matting and de-shedding as add-ons before you start, not as an awkward conversation after.
Pick-up notifications
One tap sends “ready for collection” — dogs spend less time crated and owners stop guessing.
Temperament notes
Handling warnings, muzzle requirements and quirks on the pet file for whoever is on shift.
Vaccination records
Stored with expiry dates and flagged before the next appointment.
Recurring grooms
Six- or eight-weekly schedules booked once and reminded automatically.
Mobile-friendly
Runs on a phone in the van, with the day’s bookings in order and each dog’s notes.
Before & after
Photos on the pet record — useful for the owner and for your socials.
Payments
Card at pick-up, deposits on big grooms, shampoo and accessories rung up on the same sale, receipts sent automatically.
Online booking, 24/7
Owners book online at any hour — the dog, the service, the groomer they like, the time. It lands in your day without the phone ringing while you’re elbow-deep in a golden retriever.
Groomer roster + walk-ins
Each groomer’s day side by side, so you can see who has room. Walk-ins check in on a tablet and wait their turn instead of crowding the counter.
Loyalty rewards
Points on every visit and rules you set — a free bath after ten grooms, say. Owners see their balance themselves, and the six-weekly habit sticks.
What it costs
From $24.99 a month.
A flat monthly fee in AUD. Nothing per booking, nothing per job, and the card rate you pay is your provider's own — Trimsy adds nothing to it.
Yes. Trimsy installs to your phone’s home screen from the browser — no app store — and shows your day in order, with each dog’s address, breed, and handling notes. Owners book online and get their reminders by SMS, so the phone isn’t ringing while you’re mid-groom.
Can I charge differently for a cavoodle and a Saint Bernard?
Yes. Set the price and the time by breed and coat, and add de-matting or de-shedding as an add-on before you start — so the matted double coat is booked and priced as the two-hour job it is, not the forty-minute one the owner had in mind.
How do I stop no-shows?
Three ways, and you can use all of them. Reminders go out automatically before the appointment. You can require a deposit — a fixed amount or a percentage — to confirm an online booking, and unpaid bookings release themselves. And with a card on file you can charge a no-show fee from the booking.
One owner, three dogs — is that three bookings?
No. An owner can book several pets in one visit, each with its own service and its own time, and each dog keeps its own file: breed, weight, temperament, vaccinations, and photos.
Can I bring my existing clients across?
You can import your owners from a CSV — name, email, phone, and loyalty points. Pets aren’t part of that import: they’re added the first time each dog comes in, or by the owner when they book, and from then on the file carries forward.
Do my clients have to download an app?
No. They book, reschedule, and check their loyalty points from a browser, on your own booking page.
What does it cost?
A flat monthly fee, with no commission and no per-booking charge — a busy Saturday costs you the same as a quiet Tuesday. There’s a 14-day free trial, and you don’t need a card to start it.
