Services — creating and managing your service menu
Services are the foundation of your booking page. Learn how to create categories, set pricing, configure duration, and control who can perform each service.
Services are the items customers book appointments for. They appear on your public booking page, the kiosk, and in the POS. Organising them well makes the booking experience faster for customers and easier to manage for staff.
Creating a service
Click + New Service and fill in:
- Name — what the customer sees (e.g. "Women's Cut & Blow Dry")
- Category — group related services (e.g. "Cuts", "Colour", "Treatments"). Categories are displayed as sections on the booking page.
- Duration — how long the appointment takes in minutes. This blocks out the correct amount of time in the calendar.
- Buffer time — extra minutes after the service before the next booking can start (useful for cleaning up or preparation).
- Price — the default price charged at checkout.
- Description — a brief description shown on the booking page.
Staff assignment
Each service can be assigned to specific staff members. Only staff assigned to a service will appear as booking options for that service. To assign a service to a staff member, go to Team → Staff, open the staff profile, and tick the service in their Services tab. Alternatively, edit the service and tick staff from within the service form.
Online booking settings
In the service settings you can toggle:
- Available for online booking — uncheck to hide a service from the public booking page while keeping it available in the POS.
- Require intake form — attach a client questionnaire that must be completed before the booking is confirmed.
- Deposit required — require a percentage or fixed deposit at the time of booking.
Sorting and categories
Drag and drop services within a category to reorder them. Drag a category header to reorder the category itself. The order you set here is the order customers see on the booking page.
Archiving a service
You cannot delete a service that has historical bookings. Instead, click Archive to hide it from new bookings while keeping the historical record intact.
