Setting up your salon — the onboarding wizard
When you first sign up to Trimsy, a setup wizard guides you through the five steps needed before your dashboard unlocks.
When you create your Trimsy account and verify your email address, you are taken to the Onboarding Setup wizard. You cannot access the full dashboard until all five steps are complete, but you can use placeholder information and update everything later.
Step 1 — Business details
Enter your salon name, phone number, full address, and country. These details appear on your public booking page, on customer confirmation emails and SMS messages, and on printed receipts. They also pre-fill the General tab in Settings.
Tip: Your address is shown on a Google Maps embed on your public website. Make sure it is formatted correctly so the map pin is accurate.
Step 2 — Services
Add at least one service so the booking page and kiosk have something to display. You only need to enter the name, duration, and price at this stage. You can add categories, upload photos, set buffer times, and create intake forms later from Catalog → Services.
Step 3 — Opening hours
Set the days and time ranges your salon is open. These hours control which time slots appear on the online booking page. You can configure location-specific hours, public holiday closures, and one-off closed days later under Settings → Store Hours.
Step 4 — Staff
Add at least one staff member and assign them the services they perform. The staff member's name and assigned services appear on the booking page when customers choose a stylist. Full staff management — wages, commission rates, access levels, rostering — is done later from the Team section.
Step 5 — Go live
Once the wizard finishes, your dashboard unlocks and your booking page is immediately live at your subdomain (e.g. glamour.trimsy.au). Nothing else needs to be configured before you can start taking bookings.
After the wizard
The wizard does not reappear once you dismiss it. If you need to change any of the information entered during setup, go to Settings → General for business details and hours, Catalog → Services for your services, and Team → Staff for your staff list.
